Welcome to the 37th Ayrshire Scout Group PDF Print E-mail

The 37th Ayrshire Scout Group are based in the Hall at the rear of Henderson Church in the car parking area. The group recently celebrated their Golden Anniversary and have a large number of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts attending. Explorer Scouts also use our hall. The group enjoys a full calendar of events and activities include camping, playing games, badge work, educational, fun trips, Bar-b-ques, crafts, car treasure hunts, water fights and lots more. Also delivering Christmas and Easter cards for the Church and attend parades.

Morrison Bag Packing

Thank you to all members of our group who helped at the bag packing events in December '08/ The sum raised over the 2 days was approx. £3000. THANK YOU!


Annual Capitation-Insurance Fees - 2008/9

Almost all fees have now been received. Thank You.

 

Camp - Lochgoilhead 22, 23 and 24th May 2009

A total of 38 cubs, scouts, leaders will attend this years camp All outstanding cash to be paid by Thursday 30th April 2009

Numbers in each section

Our group numbers are at present, Beavers (8), Cubs (19) and Scouts (19). Thank you to all boys and parents for your ongoing support.

As you can see from the numbers, all sections still require leader help. Anyone that may be able to help, please contact Jane Niven (01563 531270).

Camp 2009

Cubs & Scouts Joint Annual Camp

Lochgoilhead May 2009

The camp for next year will be held on the weekend 22nd, 23rd & 24th May and we will be going to The Lochgoilhead Centre. The activities that will take place will be a selection from the following:

Water Activities

Sailing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Power Boating and Bell Boating

Land Activities

Rock Climbing, Archery, Jacobs Ladder, Abseiling, River Gorge Walking and Hill Walking.

All of the above activities will have qualified leaders. The boys wil not be under canvas but will be sleeping in cabins. Transport, food, accomodation and activities are all included in the cost. No other money is required.

The total cost of the weekend is £85. A non-returnable deposit of £25 is required by Friday 7th November. The balance will be collected in March 2009.

Any adult wishing to join in this event will be made most welcome. Last years event was over subscribed with helpers and the same this time around would be wonderful.
